I've spent enough time going over "fun" and this league. Having my entire Atlanta 2-weeks killed, firstly with a late track change and then with a dq for a genuine misunderstanding, put me on the edge of leaving. It was an absolute killer to have that entire time deleted. Now a suspension for doing nothing.

I can't find a reason to keep going now. I was already limited in races i could make and time i could give. And with that being wasted this weekend, and now in a period where i have a touch more time i can't use it, i can't give myself a reason to go forwards with this season anymore. So i won't waste anymore of my time or your time.

Perhaps i'll consider S3 participation, but it will depend on the rules, races and any other changes to the league.

End of the road for Team MiguelMissile

With the #1 driver TMM now banned from the League it's with a sad heart that Team MiguelMissile will be no more. What the new 1-man team will be called is unknown, but Team Miguel will thrive i'm certain. Hopefully he can push on solo and continue his solid performances through the remaining races.

What of TMM? Well, banned is pretty simple really. With that any motivation and goodwill still held for the League was wiped out in a fell swoop by the single person. Better to not waste any more of my time and focus on things that are fun.

No hard feelings towards most drivers, but a small percentage seemed adamently against the fun aspect of racing. Without enjoyment why drive in circles for an hour on a Saturday night? Why put in the practice time ontop of that if you know your entire practice time can be negated because of a simple misunderstanding?

Congrats to those who have fun, you do a good job to dig it out. It seems to elude me, or be forced away.

The debut race for the team leader TheManxMissile came at the night race of Laguna Seca. A historically good track for the Brit who finished 2nd last year in the VTCC after one of the most eventful races of that first season. Expectations were not so high this time around, being the first competitive race in this Aston Martin for TMM. Practice wasn't great either. Despite being the fastest AM driver in practice (and the only one) TMM was a good 2+ seconds behind the top running Germans.
Quali showed a slight upward turn with TMM gaining 4th place on the grid. But lacking in pace it was all about rolling the dice on strategy. So on went the Hard tyres with the full intention of only stopping once, and on the last lap. Could a gamble on track position on 1-stopping work?

Race Time! Well it didn't look good. A slow start dropping TMM down the order quickly into Turn 1. By the end of Lap 1 things settled out but TMM was down the order. Settling into race pace designed to protect the tyres the leaders went up the road. The saving grace being their high pace and battling sent a couple of drivers to the pits with damage. As the early pit stops cycled through TMM briefly elevated to 3rd.
Then disaster! Locking brakes on the bump before The Corkscrew and the car vereed hard right into the barrier. One loss of diffuser and puncture later TMM limped to the pits. Another set of Hard Tyres to see out the race and this was it. No crashes please!
With fj out and Andy well out of contention TMM was cruising happily in 6th. Then we lost Tango and up to 5th. Then up the road Andy and ryant come together. TMM ups the pace to slip into 4th and draw level with his start position. Gradually upping the pace lap by lap thanks to the long lasting Hard tyre he actually began to close on Miguel. Miguel then made a mistake heading into the final lap, could the damaged yellow Aston hold off the flying grey Aston?
Yes. A 3-4 for Team MiguelMissile. Not a half bad result considering it was TMM's debut event. The slow and steady approach paying dividends to get ahead of the crash damaged runners, and it almost was a podium.

RKO Outta Nowhere!!!! Miguel is DQ'd from the results! TMM gets a Podium on his debut as a result! What sorcery is this!
The team loses some points but Manx gets himself strongly on the board and his hunting of Luigi, AM Championship leader, is well and truly begun.
