We have some good news, our AM driver SSJ2Luigi has been cleared for racing and will return at Iowa Speedway
-
-
following the crash in practice that held SSJ2Luigi out of the race at Suzuka, medical personal over at the Suzukachūō General Hospital conformed that the AM driver has been injured and while be out of contention for a unknown amount of time. The dutchman is unable to stay in his racing seat for an extended amount of time, which makes racing impossible.
we hope to give updates as the situations develops

the two drivers found eachother again with fjhoekie on the inside overtakinga lackluster weekend saw the two drivers just scaping buy, finishing way below their standards. 7th and 9th is not what they came for to Germany and both drivers weren't too keen on replaying to us at the official press meeting, We met up with SSJ2Luigi first as he crashed out in lap 28, forcing him to keep talking to us. SSJ2Luigi: absolute **** weekend, **** missing qualifying, **** starting in Shell-S, getting **** held by waghlon under safety car, **** crashing. **** barbecued the engine, I'm so done. Can I leave already or do I need to wait on fjh? Lambo staff: yes actually, we ride back to the hotel on the team bus with everbody SSJ2Luigi: <sign> okay thenLambo staff: and here we have fjhoekie returing after finishing 7th, what did you think about the race fjhoekie: Boring. Nothing to say. Lambo staff: well it seems that neither driver is very chatty todayIt seems that the road courses so far aren't our favorites yet, maybe at Shanghai our luck will change but before that we go to the street circuit of Singapore

the first race of the season is always a special one, this one was extra special because it's a home race of our team. Considering our drivers both won the first race they finished, we had high hopes for the race. Although qualifying was a bit of a lead-down, with fjhoekie in 4th (which was okay) we had SSJ2Luigi in last place in qualifying. He didn't start last though as Bene, trekbmc and Ryo Watanabe didn't qualify.
fjhoekie raced brilliantly to take 3rd place on the podium after 38 laps around the street circuit, managing to avoid serious vehicle damage all race long. taking advantage of the retirement of last season's champion Speedylu, he made up 1 place from his starting position. SSJ2Luigi didn't have the pace today but he one of the cleanest drivers on track, having only 4 registered incidents and 34 clean laps. The fewest incidents and the most clean laps of everybody. He made up places as people retired or crashed to elevate him from 11th to 5th place. We also take the lead of the team championships thanks to our double full points finish, the only team to do so this race! Lets keep up the pace
fjhoekie: Ehm. Boring race. Have been battling a broken car for most of the race, and may or may not have ended Miguel's chances by hitting him, we both are not sure if we actually collided, but well, racing incident for sure. Shame the fight had to end that way, race was boring afterwards as I had no chnaces to catch up with the leading duo. Will take a podium every single day of the week though!
SSJ2Luigi: I noticed early during practice sessions that I simply struggled with the car, I couldn't find adequite pace combined with stabiltiy to finish. I qualified hoping to start last but instead I had trekbmc directly behind me. Good thing he retired before the start otherwise I wouldn't be here with such a smile (laughs). I didn't get much on track fighting but that was what I expected. Happy with the 5th place though
after this amazing result for us, with 3rd, 5th place and the lead in the team championships, we look forward towards Oschersleben. a track people already have claimed to have trouble with.

With the calendar released and we knowing the dates we can finally ask the drivers about which races they are looking forward to, what they think about the team’s home races of Adelaide and Indianapolis Motor Speedway and of course which races they are not able to make
SSJ2Luigi: My race of the season is easily the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; the Brickyard is historic and to know that I’ll race makes me really happy. Other than that, Sarthe and Spa look fun. Adelaide looks difficult for me, the feel of the car isn’t here yet which can make you kill your car. I could start everything, I could start nothing. It depends on what happens really, I can conform that I’ll likely won’t start in Zurich
fjhoekie: Adelaide is amazing, I’ve found adequate pace there and everybody will see the wall up close :P. I’m haven’t found the pace really at Indianapolis but there is still more than enough time find it. The track is really cool though. Other than Adelaide, my highpoints are Suzuka and Canada where I was quite fast last season. I’m certain I’ll miss a few but I definitely miss Singapore and Hockenheim
thank you two for your answers and we hope to see you next time when we cover the Adelaide race
