The former self proclaimed Independant BMW driver
TheManxMissile created the new team solo, before signing up a talented teammate. An interupted season saw the TMM team leader TMM only make 7 starts in the VTCC. Things began at Zandvoort, where after zero practice, TMM placed on the podium and only missed the win due to refueling issues. Punted out at turn 2 in Bathurst was hard to stomach and contributed to a car change. Hungary, with a new livery, things finally came together. The seasons closest race went to the wire and an agressive move kept TMM ahead to claim his first win. Interlagos would be his next outing, and his next heartbreak. Losing the race on the final corner having lead every single lap to that point!
TMM would not appear again until Pocono, where the avid NASCAR fan had high hopes. Hit by Jihardy and then by new TMM teammate Miguel98, TMM struggled to 6th place. A grid penalty for Laguna Seca was just the start of rough race which saw TMM make contact with almost every driver and dissapear into the gravel no less than 3 times! Somehow 2nd place was the reward and proved he'd lost no speed in the time away. TMM capped the season with 5th at Knockhill following another incident packed race.
TMM became known for both a high consistent race pace and for his willingness to go door handle to door handle. Such an aggressive passing style won't suit his new Bond-mobile Aston Marting V12 Vantage GT3, but his consistency and smoothness out of traffic will. The Team MiguelMissile driver should look at a championship challenge... but again he'll only be racing a limited schedule and don't expect to see him before Montjuic!
The Team MiguelMissile hopes will rest on Miguel98, who will introduce himself below.
